WAKE UP CALL

By now it is been widely accepted a fact that India is a Land of Spirit. And by Spirit I don’t mean the ghosts residing on banyan trees. It’s the Spirit of the people that is seen after every calamity that strikes us, spirit to bounce back, to start from where we stopped and to build a new tomorrow. After all the calamities like tsunami, floods, earthquakes, accidents etc and now terrorism that struck us we as a nation have come out strong, we have proven that our Spirit won’t be conquered, we will successfully combat everything and resume our lives. No doubt, this is a very good sign but there is only one doubt nagging me “Why should We”. Why should we wait always for the disaster to strike , why should we bounce if we can prevent the fall in the first place. Why should we wait for something like Terror Tuesday to happen?
It’s easy to blame everything on the police force and government and crib about their lack of efficient work but what we have to remember is the fact that each of us is responsible about our own safety. In a country like our’s where population is bursting at seams its so difficult to check each and every person. We can surely help by being alert to our surroundings, by taking the trouble to actually watch our neigbours and neighbourhood , by being sensible enough to take responsibility in our hands and lastly by stopping the blame game and helping in times of trouble. Yet after all these catastrophe we haven’t learnt our lesson. Even now in trains and buses we find people oblivious to the surroundings sitting with the silly device called mobile earphones plugged in their ears not even bothering to see the person sitting right next to them and then at times dozing away to glory to extent of snoring like a one man orchestra.
Wake up people because if we don’t wake up now maybe we might not get an other chance at it.

Terror Tuesday

Yet another attack by the terrorists. The pink of city of Jaipur saw the colour red of blood flowing in from everywhere. This time surprisingly it was a lesser-known organization from Bangladesh that caused the 7 serial blasts in the state of Rajasthan. Talk about gratitude, its high time we stop acting soft on the unchecked entry of migrants in our country. India has its own share of problems caused due to ever expanding population we hardly need any new ones in form of immigrants. The very presence of stringent immigration laws of various countries is the proof of the fact that immigration of unwanted people is dangerous.
We do have our political parties screaming their lungs out about so called migration of people from other states into Maharashtra is causing trouble,,guess they forgot to check on the trouble coming in from neighbouring countries. Talk about the self proclaimed statement “Sons Of Soil”. I’d rather have another statement in their case.

Obsession

OBSESSION: The morbid persistence of an idea in one’s head.

The dictionary meaning of obsession does little justice to whole feeling present in this small word of 9 alphabets. Its a feeling so powerful that it consumes the whole of us, as far as I’m concerned I’m obsessed with a new thing every new day,but some obsessions have remained strong since I was a kid. The first one being the amazing madness for Theobroma cacao. For all the ignorant junta out there I meant the sinful “Chocolate” and I don’t mean the many brands of chocolate available diluting the taste of pure dark chocolate with their silly addition of milk, nuts, fruits and caramel. For me the dark chocolate does the trick. The way it slides down the tongue with a silky texture, it’s power to seduce the taste buds and intoxicating the mind with a lingering taste is ………pure BLISS.
Apart from chocolate another thing that controls me is the colour RED, I relate best with Red and I feel it describes me the best “SO COMMON YET THE MOST EYE-CATCHING” that’s RED. Never can I get enough of RED despite of having my half-inch long talons painted RED.a single lipstick of the cherry RED shade. A whole wardrobe of clothes coloured RED, a pair of RED shoes, RED bags,RED scarves and what not, seems quite that my blog also has a RED print,,, that reminds BLOOD is also RED.

Start Up

I’m asking myself even now, "Why on earth am I writing this blog? Considering my deeply etched laziness and a regular habit of developing new fads; I don’t really know how long this newly found writing craze will last, but anyway I’ll enjoy while it lasts.
Its vacations now and I seriously don’t have anything better to do other than cramming my head with Agatha Christie and a hell lot of other crap which is never of any use to me other than helping me gab away to glory. That is when I’m not in front of the mirror admiring my image. Considering the alternatives, this seems a better way of wasting time.
